Join the Revolution

From: Founding a Father
You've heard of the Fab Four: John, Paul, George, and JimmyI am of course referring to our Founding Fathers: Adams, Revere, Washington, and Jimmy from Founding a Father. He has been featured here on DKL a few times, most recently in my Pay it Forward Tribute to Dads for Father's Day.

Today, he is graciously returning the favor big time. I was very excited when Jimmy invited me to guest post on his blog. He is a talented writer who makes me laugh, cry or think every time he posts. Please check out my post on his site. I discuss a recent milestone Peanut hit: her Pre-K graduation. And it's not as shmaltzy as you might expect:
Now that Peanut is kicking the comfort of daycare off her shoes and heading into Kindergarten in the fall; now that she’s participated in the emotional, adorable “stepping up” ceremony that had my face soaked with snot and tears, causing me to lose all of my street cred as a stoic, stone-faced sarcastic dad; now that all of that is behind us and we are looking forward to rest of her academic career, I have some words of wisdom to impart on Peanut and her pint-sized classmates.

  1. Congrats on the guest blogging stint! Quite an honor. ;)

I'm so not looking forward to Kindergarten in the fall and hope you're dealing with it better than I am.
