  1. Father Friendly Film “Bringing Up Bobby” Hitting Streets 11/20/12!

    Hello "Daddy Knows Less"!

I work for the independent film company monterey media. I'm reaching out to you on behalf of one of the films I am currently working on, the family friendly comedy Bringing Up Bobby, Famke Janssen's (X-Men) directorial debut, starring Milla Jovovich (The Fifth Element, Resident Evil), Spencer List, Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives), Bill Pullman (Independence Day, “1600 Penn”) & Rory Cochrane (Argo).
After discovering and reading your blog, I felt that “Bringing Up Bobby” was a film you and your readers would be interested in because your blog speaks to being a parent and a hands on father, similar to Bill Pullman as Kent, a father to the title character, Bobby. I'm including some information and links about he film below. I know you're very busy and want to thank you for taking a moment to give this “father friendly” labor of love a look. Let me know if I can answer any questions about the film or provide you with images, clips etc. for posting. The film's home entertainment release is November 20th, 2012. A perfect time to watch in a fun family movie, during the Thanksgiving holiday break!

“Bringing Up Bobby” is about a European con artist named Olive (Jovovich) and her 10 year-old son Bobby (List) who arrive in Oklahoma to begin a new life. When Olive's criminal past catches up to her, she is faced with putting her son's happiness before her own. Mary (Cross) and her husband Kent (Pullman) try to heal from the death of their own son as they become part of Bobby's life.

  2. Hi sorry to bother you. I saw your post about Land of Make believe. I know I should ask them about this but I really wanted to get an answer and I figured you may know since you went there. Regarding LOMB season passes, does adult season pass mean just one person, or is that for me and my husband? And the kids season pass is also 1 or two kids? Or am I supposed to buy 2 adults season pass and 2 kids season pass for a staggering amount of $384?

  5. Hey Daddy,

I recently wrote/directed a short film starring my newest child. It's about two very non-traditional dads. Hope you'll check it out: http://youtu.be/esYjkp9EyOE

  6. Hello, "Daddy Knows Less,"

I represent Familius Publishing, a publisher dedicated to making families happy. I also represent Dude to Dad founder Hugh Weber (see dudetodad.com). Given your humorous take on fatherhood, I have a book that I think would interest you and your followers.

Wisdom for Dad is a book of advice snippets (all under 140 characters longs) taken from tweets from @dudetodad and other wise fathers and Twitter users around the world. This book explores the humor, struggles, and joys of being a dad in a modern, easy-to-read format. Wisdom for Dad is the perfect gift for new or veteran fathers who want a good laugh and a lot of wisdom.

We would be happy to provide a free digital copy if you would be willing to review this book or post a couple quotes on your blog. We would also be willing to provide you with a hard copy to use for a giveaway. Just let me know your giveaway terms and what you would prefer.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  7. Hey there!

My name is Ashleigh and I’m the head of community for Buzzstarter, a San Francisco-based publisher network. You can check us out at: http://partners.buzzstarter.com/

We have a live campaign, right now, for Unilever’s Best Meals Happen at Home. Our customer, Unilever, specifically requested that we reach out to publishers that we can create long term relationships with, as this campaign lasts until the end of 2015.

We will send you the piece of content, in this case a recipe, and pay you a flat rate to post. At the same time, we will use social media to drive thousands of visitors to your publication, thereby increasing exposure and fan advocacy to your site.

Would you be interested? Please let me know.

    Thanks so much,

    Ashleigh
