THE PEANUT GALLERY: 2011 In Pictures... HER Pictures

The Peanut started to take an interest in photography in 2011. Every now and then, she'd grab the camera and start shooting away. I've been looking for an opportunity to share some her better, and funnier, shots. So what better way than to recap the year with a "Peanut Gallery," shot exclusively by the Peanut herself?

Enjoy:

Elmo started it when he was talking about cameras

Luna always a good subject

"Daddy, smile"

Her egg hunting basket

The infamous Barbie pool, curiously empty

This horse eats like a... well, like a horse

Lollipop that she never ate.

Her "babies" sleeping
Her daddy sleeping
Lammie on vacation, chillaxin'
Her hideous Crocs
Something beautiful
Something else beautiful

Something NOT
THE "END"

I started "Peanut Gallery" as a way to keep the original purpose of DKL going after I "went public." That is, to share the Peanut's growth through pictures as well as stories. This one here is my favorite so far.

  1. Wonderful! Except maybe that last one...but it's art, so it's okay.

I've kept so many of my kids photos - except they aren't allowed to use my new camera since they are the reason I had to get a new camera. I'm amazed by the beauty of the things they choose to photograph.

    Happy New Year!

  2. Hahaha classics! Why is Barbie's pool infamous? Great idea saving her photography. :o)

  3. I'm shocked it took so long for someone to comment on that last picture. Maybe everyone was so disturbed they were speechless? @Jamie: The Barbie pool is "infamous" because of what Ken & Co. do in there.

  5. This is so great! My daughter has her own little digital camera and she goes crazy with it. A few months after my mom passed away I found the camera under my daughter's bed. Turned out she had taken a bunch of amazing shots of my mom. It is so cool to look at the world through a child's lens. I might have to borrow this idea for a blog post. If that's cool with you I'll link to your blog! Let me know :)
